Culture fund

China Culture Industrial Investment Fund signed cooperation agreements with six cultural enterprises Thursday. The enterprises included a documentary filmmaker, an original TV program producer and an original music company.

The 20-billion-yuan (US$3.24-billion) fund, launched in 2011, is the only national culture industrial investment fund approved by the Central Government.

Taiwan Pavilion

A ceremony was held in Hall 2 of Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center on Thursday to mark the opening of the Taiwan Pavilion.

It is the sixth year that the Taiwan Trade Center has organized companies and enterprises from the island to attend the ICIF. The largest among overseas exhibitors, the pavilion features 170 booths set up by 83 cultural and creative enterprises from Taiwan.

15% discount

All books will be sold at a 15 percent discount in Hall 7, the press and publication hall at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center.

A total of 133 publishing and news corporations have participated in the cultural fair, including 14 corporations from overseas, such as Harper Collins and Random House.

Contract signed

A culture and tourism company under OCT Holding Co. signed an agreement Thursday with two companies in Beijing to jointly develop a 270-million-yuan tourism project in China’s capital.

OCT Holding Co. is expected to sign contracts worth more than 1 billion yuan during the cultural fair.
