China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) is jointly co-hosted by Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee (National Press and Publication Administration, China Film Administration), Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the PRC, Ministry of Commerce of the PRC, National Radio and Television Administration, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Guangdong Provincial People’s Government and Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government and organized by Shenzhen Press Group, Shenzhen Media Group, Shenzhen Publishing Group Co., Ltd. as well as Shenzhen International Cultural Industry Fair Co., Ltd. As the only national standard, international and integrated cultural fair in China, ICIF is approved by UFI (The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry). ICIF focuses on exhibition and exchange and is committed to hosting quality and intensive exhibitions and building a trade platform for China’s cultural industrial products and projects, driving the development of China’s cultural industry and vigorously advancing the globalization of Chinese cultural products. ICIF is crowned as ‘The Top Cultural Fair in China’.

As a Shenzhen-based national-level exhibition, ICIF drew heightened attention of leaders of the Communist Party of China and all circles of the society since 2004. The ICIF Coordination Leading Group was established and the three-level exhibition mechanism was provided in January 2010 under the direction of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee. This effectively guarantees the injection of various high-quality resources and effectively improves the quality and level of supporting services for the exhibition.

Since the first ICIF was held in 2004, the exhibition area has reached 105,000㎡ with the number of exhibitors increasing from more than 700 at the very beginning to 2,312 in 2019. 31 provinces, municipalities, Hong Kong, Marco and Taiwan regions have participated in the ICIF for 10 consecutive years. The number of countries and regions as visitors, exhibitors and buyers has mounted to 103 from a dozen, while sub-venues were expanding to 66. The 15th ICIF, where nearly 6,000 cultural industrial investment and financing projects were demonstrated live, and also encouraged the full participation of 50 countries and 132 institutions. With 23.5% exhibition area for overseas exhibitors, 22,167 overseas buyers were attracted to visit, purchase and negotiate in the 15th ICIF. Its exhibition scale, number of visitors, internationalization, and transactions have been increasing year after year. It has developed into the highest-specification, largest-scale, most effective and influential exhibition in China's cultural industry, becoming an important engine leading the development of China's cultural industry, an important platform for promoting Chinese culture going global and an important window for expanding cultural opening up.

In order to coordinate the promotion of epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, the 16th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (called ‘Cloud ICIF’) will be held online instead of the offline exhibition during Oct. 26-30, 2020 (from Monday to Friday, 24 hours online). The ‘Cloud ICIF’ will make full use of the new generation of information technology, artificial intelligence and other high-tech means to create five sections: Cloud Opening, Cloud Exhibition, Cloud Business, Cloud Signing, Cloud Big Data, bringing together international cultural resources from all parts of China and the ‘Belt and Road’ countries, focusing on displaying excellent domestic and international cultural industry projects and products, creating a new platform for online exhibitions that integrates displaying, trading, communication, and interaction, and a global display and trading platform for cultural industry projects and products with the most complete category and large-scale. It strives to bring new experiences and new results to the exhibitors and buyers through the application of new technologies and the innovation of service models.

The ‘Cloud ICIF’ will deeply explore the role of ICIF in promoting the exhibition and exchange of cultural products and projects, resource sharing and information exchange, highligh the innovation of exhibition and transaction forms, actively promote trade exchanges, and commit to making positive contributions to the new developing pattern of prospering domestic culture and economic, and smoothing the domestic and international dual-cycle system, emphasizing the ‘eight highlights’ including highlighting the important role of culture in building a well-off society in an all-round way, highlighting the strategic leadership and mission responsibility, highlighting the coordinated development of cultural industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, highlighting the achievements of cultural industry development in special economic zones, highlighting the stimulation of cultural tourism consumption, highlighting the new trend of integrated development, highlighting the leadership of creative design and the inheritance of Chinese excellent traditional culture, and highlighting the innovation of exhibition models.

As an important exhibition held under special circumstances, the 16th ICIF will be held online for the first time. Based on its mission, the ‘Cloud ICIF’ focuses on building a charge free display and trading platform for cultural enterprises, assisting global cultural enterprises to display online, develop markets and promote transformation and upgrading, and helping to build a well-off society in an all-round way and fight against poverty. Moreover, the ‘Cloud ICIF’ also focuses on exploring new trends and opportunities for the development of cultural industry in the new situation, promoting industrial transformation and upgrading, giving full play to the leading role of ICIF as a national comprehensive international cultural exhibition platform in the development of cultural industry, and promoting the innovation of business model and business format, and the transformation and upgrading of cultural industry.

The Cloud ICIF warmly welcomes global government organizations, cultural and commercial institutions, corporate representatives and individuals to participate in the exhibitions, exchanges and forums, and experience the innovative integration of ‘The Top Cultural Fair in China’ and the Internet technology.


12 Halls

Cultural Industries Hall (Hall 1)

Introduction: Hall 1 is featured by national government-supported exhibition groups which led by the Publicity Departments of the Party Committees and Cultural Departments (Bureaus) of various provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities. The groups mainly are composed respectively by the key local cultural enterprises, especially the top 30 cultural enterprises in the past three sessions, and characteristic cultural enterprises. It uses multimedia technologies such as graphics and video to highlight the latest progress in the cultural system reforms and the latest achievements in the development of cultural industries, high-quality cultural projects and leading products of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities on the featured pages of Cloud ICIF.  

Culture and Tourism Hall (Hall 2)

Introduction: Hall 2 will display cultural and tourism integration development projects that represent Chinese historical culture, modern culture, red culture and folk culture through graphics, film and television, VR, and interactive experiences, highlighting domestic well-known cultural historical sites and cultural landscapes, museums, cultural and creative theme parks, high-quality tourism performing projects, tourism technology and derivatives, as well as Taiwan region’s cultural and creative, cultural and tourism products.


Smart Broadcasting Hall (Hall 3)

Introduction: Hall 3 will showcase the integration, innovation and development of digital culture and radio & television, film, online audio-visual, animation, cultural finance and other fields through cloud experience and cloud roaming in the online exhibition hall, focusing on the new achievements, new technologies and new applications in promoting the implementation of smart radio & television construction and the integrated development of broadcasting, film and television.


Media Convergence• Press and Publication (Hall 4)

Introduction: Hall 4 will showcase new products, new technologies, and new formats of domestic media convergence development, as well as online high-quality books, special books and others through the online experience.


Film Industry Technology Hall (Hall 5)

Introduction: Hall 5 focuses on displaying the latest achievements of the integrated development of film industry and modern technology in China, reflecting the "Made in China" style of film technology. The exhibition will introduce well-known film technology equipment manufacturers and film production companies at home and abroad, and will focus on displaying the latest technology in film production and the domestic fine works in the new era. Hall 5 will also reflect the important role of national film technology in the fantasy film series.

Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Hall (Hall 6)

Introduction: Hall 6 will showcase the cultural industry exchanges and cooperation results of the "9+2" urban agglomeration in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, including digital culture, creative design, and cultural tourism content from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area through graphics, film and television, online experience, etc..


Internet Hall (Hall 7)

Introduction: Hall 7 will showcase the latest development trends and cutting-edge technology trends of "Internet +", display and publish the new achievements, new technologies, new applications of business formats integrated development in the internet and culture, media, technology, digital creativity, e-commerce and others through graphics, film and television, VR and interactive experiences.


Belt & Road · International Hall (Hall 8)

Introduction: Hall 8 will focus on displaying domestic and foreign cultural services and cultural trade content, reflecting the "going global" and "bringing in" of Chinese culture, as well as the new path of Chinese and foreign cultural integration and innovation.


Art Hall (Hall 9)

Introduction: Hall 9 will focus on displaying fine art works of major art categories and schools at home and abroad, including Chinese paintings and calligraphy, Chinese and foreign oil paintings, contemporary youth art, watercolors, prints and sculptures.

Creative Design Hall (Hall 10)

Introduction: Hall 10 will focus on displaying modern, fashionable and creative cultural products, including architectural design, industrial design, graphic design, packaging design, clothing design, jewelry design and other quality creative products.


Intangible Cultural Heritage Hall (Hall 11)

Introduction: Hall 11 will focus on displaying the achievements of China's intangible cultural heritage protection, transformation and utilization in recent years, and building and promoting China's outstanding cultural brands.


Arts & Crafts Hall (Hall 12)

Introduction: Hall 12 will focus on displaying all kinds of contemporary arts and crafts, including sculptures (tooth, jade, wood, stone, etc.), metal, ceramics, drawn embroidery, jewelry, lacquer, classical mahogany furniture and folk crafts, etc., building the authoritative exhibition exchanging and export trading platform of China's arts and crafts industry.
